Rose Cottage is perfect for two people for a few nights stay. Has everything you need and ample wood for the fire. Added bonus is literally a minute walk to the tavern down the road

I can highly recommend James Farmhouse as an ideal location for a winter family getaway. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and the facilities have improved under new ownership of Kirsten and Mark . The house is spacious, warm and cosy and very comfortable for our family of nine and could easily handle more. The fireplaces in the lounge area and dining room add to the country atmosphere and the outdoor facilities are ideal as well. The accommodation made our four night stay a very pleasant and memorable trip.

This place was super cute! The fireplace was perfect for the chilly nights I was there. It was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. The yurt was close to several wineries and easy to find. It was also close to multiple national parks, which I took full advantage of. I would recommend this place

Lovely little cottage close to the Girraween/southern end of the Stanthorpe wineries area. St Jude's and the Ballandean Tavern are within walking distance. Lots of wineries nearby and an easy drive out to some of the places closer to Stanthorpe. The cottage itself was warm and comfortable with a kitchenette, bar fridge and coffee fixings. We made a fire in the fireplace each evening and the bed's heating kept everything toasty when it was frosty outside. The cottage isn't far from the road or highway but it's quiet and peaceful even on the patio. Other accommodation is located nearby but we barely heard anyone and didn't run into anyone during our stay (except a possum that was very put out that we spotted it somewhere as undignified as the ground!). So many birds around too but no one too noisy in the morning. Would definitely recommend as a base of operations for exploring the area.

Awesome location if you are wanting to hike. Out if Stanthorpe but even closer to all the vineyards and of course only 5kms to the national park. The yurk was roomy, spotless and warm. We will be back for sure

James Farmhouse is an old home with plenty of room & some creature comforts. The wood fireplace saw use as 4 couples enjoyed a cool long weekend. Ample room in the lounge & dining area. Nice Gardens. The house had 2 bathrooms & 2 toilets and a meals table in the kitchen meant chats whilst meals were cooked. Rear drinks area. Walk to tavern or shop, both basic but you could get a meal (book on weekends.)

Fantastic directions by the owners made getting into the villa easy. Rooms were extremely well presented, fantastic linen and large enough rooms and general space to accommodate three kids-outstanding

We stayed in the Zuny Yurt for two nights recently. It was very clean and extremely comfortable. It was also very peaceful. There are so many attractions within a short drive that it is a great base from which to discover the area. The information booklet in the yurt was very helpful and the bottle of wine provided for booking direct was very much appreciated. We would be very happy to stay there again.

This place is fabulous for a large group of friends. It’s comfortable with great bedding and close to so many wineries. 2 beautiful fireplaces to ensure you’ll never be cold! We had a fantastic stay. Highly recommended

The house is ideal for large groups and provides a clean and relaxed atmosphere. It is central to many quality small wineries and close to Girraween national park. It would make an ideal place for family reunions or other larger events when combined with other accommodation offered. All in all we were very happy with our stay.

We had a group of 11 family stayed for the weekend All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay from 80 year old to 9 year old. A great place with genuine character. We are hoping to repeat the visit for longer next year.

Our group of 12 (6 couples) stayed at James Farmhouse while we were attend the Grazing in the Granite event. We just loved the quirky aspects of this home and it fit our large group perfectly. The location is only a short walk to the post office where the events shuttle bus collection and drop off point was and with Ballandean Hotel only a short 3 min walk meant we didn't even have to cook! I highly recommend staying here, you wont regret it!

We had 4 couples stay for a long weekend of winery touring. Great location and very cosy. Love the working fireplaces. (S) Well appointed rustic house with heated, immaculate bathrooms and 2 wonderful fireplaces with plentiful firewood supplied on site for chilly mornings. (M) Lovely house, loved the fireplaces, lovely stay (A) Great old rustic home. It has everything supplied that you would need for a cosy stay. Lovely fireplaces and great outdoors, just missing Foxtel. (G) Great house in a great location. Lots of great wineries in a very close driving distance. Vineyards across the road. Was very comfortable for our 4 couples. Walked to the pub for dinner and used the BBQ another night. Took advantage of some great tips from the hosts for wine tasting especially at Symphony Hill were we booked a tasting. Loved the fireplaces in lounge and dining room, oil heaters in each room and electric blankets. Local bakery and IGA close by (easy walk)

The Farmhouse was the perfect setting for a recent lovely family get together in the Granite Belt. Everyone was impressed with the size of the property, all of the thoughtful inclusions, as well as the high-state of cleanliness upon arrival. Communication was a breeze.
